Worldshapers:
Accelerating Social Change

Worldshapers is a nonprofit that partners with new and established thought leaders to advance solutions to high-impact global issues. We support high-potential authors and advocates by helping them develop their ideas, influence stakeholders, and advance social change.

Idea & Impact Accelerator

Ideas shape the world. Great ideas can lead to significant impact, but only if they reach the right people at the right time. Our free support program assists subject matter experts in developing their ideas into impactful books or other media. We provide assistance with marketing and promotion to ensure their work reaches its intended audience.

Thought Leadership Through Authorship

Our core offering is a support program for nonfiction authorship. We guide participants through the processes of researching, writing, publishing, and promoting their books. While we are not a book publisher, we help our participants find the publishing opportunities that best align with their ideas and target audiences. Recognizing that not all ideas fit into traditional books, we can also assist in developing other formats such as podcast series, videos, or platform-building educational media.

Free Participation: As a nonprofit, we offer our program at no cost to participants. While we do not provide direct financial compensation, we help participants identify revenue models or commercial deals to ensure they are rewarded for their work.

Open Applications: We welcome applications from anyone with experience in writing and working within our focus areas, with no formal prerequisites. If you are passionate about creating change, we encourage you to send us an expression of interest.

Our Focus Areas

We are currently interested in supporting projects in these areas. Your project may be a fit for more than one of them.

Animal Protection
We are interested in ideas that seek to improve the welfare and rights of sentient non-human animals, especially the billions subjected to factory farming every year.
Democracy & Civic Engagement
We are interested in ideas that shape the future of collective decision-making, public participation, and just representation.
Effective Altruism
We are interested in projects and ideas that aim to expand the public circle of morality and that offer solutions for doing good better.
Food Systems Change
We are interested in ideas for accelerating the global shift to sustainable, climate-positive, plant-based systems of food production.
Global Risk & Resilience
We are interested in projects and people who champion global risk mitigation, coordination, and preparedness.
Global Health & Aid
We are interested in ideas for improving access to health, justice, and flourishing.

Other Criteria

As we pilot our program, we are refining our approach to best support our participants. Currently, we consider the following criteria.

Language Preference
Strong preference for English-speaking markets, with plans to expand globally when feasible.
Content Format
Preference for nonfiction book writing and content creation as a pathway to authorship.
Approach
Strong preference for constructive and solutions-oriented ideas.
Target Audience
Strong preference for participants who have built an audience or those with experience addressing a specific, influential audience.

Note: You do not need a fully formed idea or to meet all the above criteria perfectly. We are here to help you sharpen your focus and find the best opportunities to make an impact.
